So, my wife Laurie was recently watching ER and blurted out a sentence that I hadn’t heard her say before. She was watching a scene with Hal Holbrook and she said, “I’d like to give him a hug.” I believe my response was, “Hal Holbrook? Really?”
She’s always enjoyed Mr. Holbrook’s work since North and South (we were in Jr. High School) and through his appearances on Designing Women as well as multiple movies.
I thought a minute or two and realized that I’ve been on more pointless boondoggles than I can count. Every one of them was less interesting than giving Hal Holbrook a hug. So here it is, Hug Hal Holbrook is born.
I’ve already sent an ill-written e-mail to Abram Artists Agency. I found the information here. I’ve also used a “connection” to get a phone number. I’ll be calling that in the next day or two.
